Congratulations to our three HKU candidates who competed in the 3rd edition of the Hong Kong & Macau Interuniversity French Speech Competition in (Concours Oratoire Interuniversitaire de Hong Kong et Macao) at The Fringe on Saturday, 8 March 2025!

This event organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao aims to promote the French language.Following the theme of the Francophonie Festival 2025, Francophonie avec Elles, this 3rd edition of the competition invited students from five universities and higher education institutions to showcase their talents in French by discussing feminism and women who have made history.

Ginny, Lavanya and Zoe, our three candidates made a strong impression on the jury with their outstanding presentations! A big Bravo to Zoe for winning le prix de la créativité which grants her a return ticket to Montreal offered by Air Canada! Our French programme is proud to have such talented and outstanding students!
