Celebrated French-Moroccan author Leïla Slimani is renowned for her incisive explorations of desire, power, and cultural identity. Born in 1981 in Rabat, Morocco, Slimani moved to France as a teenager and later became a journalist and novelist. Her breakthrough novel, "Lullaby" (Chanson douce), a chilling psychological thriller, won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 2016. Slimani’s works interrogate themes of motherhood, sexuality, and the complexities of belonging. Through elegant prose and unflinching honesty, Slimani has established herself as a compelling voice in contemporary literature.

In this conversation, Leïla Slimani will engage the audience on themes such as literature, identity and belonging, desire, and motherhood.
