The 2026 Francophonie Festival

The 2026 Francophonie Festival kicks off on March 4th with Guy Delisle, the Canadian graphic novelist, as its guest of honor. Join us at the Central Library for the launch of the vibrant festival!
Main events
Guy Delisle from March 1 to 9: the Quebec comic book author will participate in the HK Literary Festival (March 1), the inaugural conference of the Francophonie (March 4), and meetings and book signings at the AF and Parenthèses (March 4 and 5). Two exhibitions on his work will be available: at the HK Central Library (March 1 to 31) and at the HK Arts Centre (March 3 to 17).
Elisa Shua Dusapin from March13 to 20: the French-Swiss writer of Korean origin will participate in Q&As on the film "Winter in Sokcho" (March 16), adapted from her novel of the same name; she will also take part in a conference at HKU (March 17) and in meetings and book signings at the AF and Parenthèses (March 18 and 20).

The Francophone Film Festival (at the Fringe Club) with Le Règne Animal (March 2), La déesse des mouches (March 4), L’art d’être heureux (March 9), and finally Feu feu feu (March 11);
The Francophone Gastronomic Fair on March 14 (4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Fringe Club);
The French Improv Club show on March 14 (6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., also at the Fringe Club);
The Francophone football competition on March 15;
The BoardGame Festival on March 21 (at the Lycée Français on the Blue Pool Road Campus);
The screening of Tintin – The Blue Lotus at the HK Central Library on March 22;
